Altberg Keld Hiking Boot

The Altberg Keld is a classic 2-3 season hiking boot designed for lower level Lakeland and Scottish fells. Now featuring a mixture of 2.0/2.2mm supple full grain leather to offer more flexibility and out-of-box comfort. The leather upper is breathable for summer walks, and the volume and width of the last is much higher than average, especially around the forefoot. The Keld is one of Altberg's 'GFit' range of boots made specifically for feet which are wider or above average volume. The foot shape is asymmetric with a medium-sized heel to keep it supported and snug. A wider toe box provides slightly above medium volume and reduces sideways pressure on the large toe. The Vibram sole gives excellent support and torsional resistance for use on rough terrain. Please note: There is a rolling changeover of sole units from the original Vibram Masai version to the Defender Hi-Traction Sole, which offers improved uphill traction, downhill braking and slip resistance.
